Sprague Little League All-Star Information

To promote transparency and fairness within the All-Star Selection process we have outlined below our format this year.

IMPORTANT:

Filling out and submitting an All-Star Consideration Form does not guarantee your child has a spot on an All-Star team. Completing the Form and turning it in (to your team manager) only indicates a player’s willingness to be considered for All-Stars. We will not put together a team just because we have the number of players to do so. Players are deliberately chosen to a certain All-Star team because they have exercised the skills necessary to compete at that level.

ALL-STAR COACH SELECTION:

If you are interested in coaching one of the All-Star Teams, please email League President Gina Miller ([email protected]) and let her know which division you are interested in coaching. Ideally, we will field 10U, 11U, LLBB (aka Majors), Intermediate(50-70) and Juniors teams. If there are not enough players at a given level, we will not field an All-Star team for that level. Priority will be given to coaches with competitive baseball experience both personally within Little League and returning All-Star Coaches. Managers will be chosen before the tryout and they will choose their two coaches from among the coaches who are eligible and available. Coaches and Team Managers must have managed or coached during the regular season and must have managed or coached at the Minors Level or above (no Tee Ball Coach shall be eligible unless they coached a second team in a Minors Division or above).

PLAYER NOMINATIONS:

All players, league age 8 and up who have played a season of kid pitch, should have received an All-Star Consideration Form to be filled out regardless of whether or not they intend to play All-Stars. The Form has an option to decline participation in All-Stars. Forms are due to Greg Astley ([email protected]) no later than Saturday, May 25th 2024.

TRYOUT INFORMATION:

All-Star tryouts are dependent upon multiple variables. For the 2024 All-Star Tournament season, Sprague LL will hold a tryout for the Juniors Division only (12-, 13-, 14-year-olds) who submitted a consideration form. This will be held at Geer Park on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:15pm. Players should arrive at the West Field at 6:00pm to check-in and warm-up.
